A template demonstrates itself in one screenshot. The channel is TikTok and X, and conversion happens on a single page.

The play

5 steps, in the order they ran them.

  1. 1

Before filming, cut the template to one screen that reads at thumbnail size. Pick the hero view a buyer would live in daily: the board, the calendar, the gallery. Set a Notion page icon and cover, collapse the left sidebar, fill every database with believable rows, never Task 1 and Task 2. Check it in dark mode on your phone. If a stranger cannot tell what the template does from that frozen frame, no caption rescues the video.

done whenShrink your hero view screenshot to phone thumbnail size and show it to someone who has never used Notion. If they cannot say what it tracks in five seconds, keep deleting blocks until they can.

  2. 2

Publish a stripped free version: Share, then the Publish tab, then turn on Duplicate as template. That public URL with the Duplicate button top right is your entry point. Keep two or three sections, cut the rest. The paid full version lives on one Gumroad page whose first image is that same hero view. Videos point to the free duplicate; the free copy carries one link out to the paid page.

done whenOpen your published link in a private window on a phone. Is the Duplicate button visible without scrolling, and the paid page reachable in one tap from inside the free copy? If not, fix that before you post anything.

  3. 3

One video, one view. Silent screen recording, phone-shaped, fifteen to twenty-five seconds. Open already on the finished hero view, then do a single action: drag a card across the board, tick a habit, flip the calendar to month. Overlay text states the problem, not the feature: I kept forgetting which clients owed me money. Final frame is the Duplicate button being pressed. No face, no intro, no tour.

done whenPlay your own clip muted with the caption hidden. If nothing on screen has moved by second three, you started recording too early. Re-record beginning mid action.

  4. 4

Rhythm comes from the template itself. List every view and every recurring workflow inside it, one line each; that list is your posting calendar for a month or two. One clip a day on TikTok, the same file posted natively on X with the Duplicate link in the post body, not a reply. A view that lands gets refilmed later with different sample data and a new problem line.

done whenCount the lines in your section list. Under fifteen and you run dry in two weeks, so add views or split one workflow into before and after clips. Track saves and shares per line, not likes.

  5. 5

Submit the free version to the Notion template gallery from your profile templates page. The listing gives you a creator profile, a More like this slot on competing templates, and a category page that keeps pulling long after a video dies. Then work comments: every link? gets the duplicate URL in reply, and every can it do X? becomes tomorrow's clip, filmed as X actually built inside the template.

done whenAfter two weeks, check where your Gumroad visits come from: social referrals or the gallery listing. If gallery traffic is flat, your category and title describe the tool instead of the job someone hires it for.
