How Marblism got its users
Growth numbers posted publicly on X during a window when AI app generation was the loudest topic on the platform.
Best guess. A working hypothesis. Useful to think with, not to repeat as fact.
Reproducible, but it will cost you real money, real months, or a skill you may not have.
The edge you do not have: A trend window that has since closed as the category filled up
- A launch that does not start from zero
- A direct relationship that survives algorithm changes
- 12 to 36 months of publishing before launch
- Accepting that you are the face of the product
- A topic where you have standing
Founder-led in 2026
Works extremely well, but it is an asset you build before the product, not during.

Name the asset first. Before Marblism existed, Ulric Musset had sold Vauban.io to Carta and been accepted to YC W24. That bought the YC company page, a Cerebral Valley writeup and warm press. He also credits timing: launching as AI app generation peaked pulled in over 100,000 users. None of that is repeatable. What is: in January 2024 he listed the tool across AI directories and published the write-up on dev.to under #buildinpublic. Grunt-work listings plus a public log of doing them.
done whenSay your own intro out loud without the product name in it. If nothing is left, the press and podcast track is closed to you this quarter, and directory listings are the only thing you actually control.

Ulric's X feed shows other people's builds, not his metrics. One post: an accounting system for a school cafeteria built on Marblism, with the product manager who made it tagged and her own write-up linked. Reach comes from the tagged person resharing to her network, so this works at zero followers. Copy the shape: one named user, one build specific enough to describe in a sentence, one link to their words. Posting your own numbers is what needs an audience.
done whenCan you name one user and describe what they built in a single sentence, without opening your database? If not, you have nothing to post, and the problem is the product, not the feed.

Marblism hit $250k ARR as a prompt-to-app tool, then Ulric killed it: the users showing up were non-technical small business owners who could not fix a bug in generated code. He gave that story to Indie Hackers as a shut-it-down interview, then rebuilt as AI employees. The reversal travels, the milestone does not. With no audience, pitch the reversal to a community publication instead of posting it to your empty feed.
done whenDo you have a decision you made against your own short-term interest, with a number attached, that you have never published? If everything you would write is good news, you do not have a pitch yet.

The Marblism Tour never books its own room. Hosts are other people's communities: C.A.V.E., a veteran events group in Tacoma; Hilda Soto of Peaceful AI Solutions in San Diego; Kyra Dodd of Kredit Kleanse in Dallas; Ericka D. James for faith-driven women entrepreneurs. The host brings the people, Marblism brings a speaker and a code (MARB, $100 off). That is the zero-follower version of founder-led: be the guest expert, not the headliner.
done whenWrite down 10 organizers who already run recurring paid events for your exact customer, names not categories. Fewer than 10 means you do not know where they gather, and no amount of posting fixes that.

At the Tacoma Armory in April 2026 the format was not a talk: 200+ owners had AI employees set up inside their own businesses during the session and left with them running. The people who watch that get converted next: the partner program pays 30% at one conversion and 40% at ten, tracked through Dub, and the agency directory only lists people the team trained who have deployed for a paying client. The top-tier perk is 1-on-1 founder time, which costs you nothing.
done whenTime yourself setting up a stranger's first real result. If it needs a discovery call, a config file or a week of data, you have no live demo and nobody worth recruiting as a partner.
