How Arcads got its users
The founders publish the method and the numbers on LinkedIn and X, in front of growth marketers who buy the tool to do the same.
Read from signals. Consistent with what is publicly observable, but nobody confirmed it. Check before you quote it.
You could start this on Monday. No budget, no audience, no permission needed.
- A launch that does not start from zero
- A direct relationship that survives algorithm changes
- 12 to 36 months of publishing before launch
- Accepting that you are the face of the product
- A topic where you have standing
Founder-led in 2026
Works extremely well, but it is an asset you build before the product, not during.
Everything on this channel →The play
5 steps, in the order they ran them.
- 1
Name the borrowed asset first. Before Arcads, Romain Torres and Dylan Fournier ran WeFirst, a seven figure fasting app, buying UGC ads with their own money. That is why hooks like "I lost $10M because of this one mistake" and "I've grown multiple B2C apps" land for them and cannot be copied. Your substitute is smaller and real: run your product on one account, store or page you actually own, and screen record that. Never borrow a track record you do not have.
done whenYou can screen record one account you own where your product did the work this week. If your strongest proof is a sentence about a past company, you have nothing yet.
- 2
Copy the one post format that needed no followers. On X, Romain headlines with somebody else's hot tool: "Nano Banana + Arcads = AI Creatives Factory", "built it with gumloop + arcads", "Claude Cowork + Arcads is too good". The body is an arrow list of the wiring (upload the winning ad, generate actor variations, render), plus the output video. The trending tool's name carries the reach. Your product is the payload. Ship one the week a tool is hot, not after.
done whenYour last post opened with a tool that is not yours, and the replies came from strangers rather than from people already in your contacts.
- 3
Give away the manual recipe your product automates, in full. His Reddit agent post spells out the whole chain: top subreddit in your niche, collect top questions, feed them into o1, generate scripts, create videos in Arcads, then "Link in first comment to get the full workflow". The LinkedIn version was blunter: "Step 1 upload the winning ad with transcribe video. Step 2 pick an AI Actor. Step 3 generate." That post carries 12 reactions and still worked. Withhold nothing.
done whenA reader could run your last post end to end without paying you, and at least one person came back to tell you what happened when they did.
- 4
Make the post about a stranger's result, not your launch. Romain posts things like "This AI video app has entered the top 10 of the app store, going from 0 to $4M in months" and only then shows the ad they made with Arcads. The site does the same with named accounts: Hipto, Teknasyon, Glam, MellowFlow. With zero customers, rebuild a public winner's best ad or page with your product and post both, their result first, yours underneath.
done whenAcross your last five posts, your product appears as the mechanism inside someone else's story more often than as the subject of your own.
- 5
Borrow an audience instead of waiting to grow one. The ads selling Arcads are made in Arcads: "we just prove it works by using it", so every ad is the demo. Then the teardown travels on other people's shows, like the Startup Ideas Podcast episode titled "$200K/mo with ONE AI Ad (We tell you HOW)". Be honest: that booking followed traction and a marketing network. What you can pitch on Monday is the same teardown to niche newsletters and small shows.
done whenYou pitched a specific teardown, named brand and named number, to three small shows or newsletters this month instead of waiting to be invited.
